THE SPECIALIZED MASTER "NETWORK & INFORMATION SECURITY"

(SM N&IS) 2010-2011

-  Join us in October 2010 in our Laval Campus (a nice city near Paris) for the next class of "Network & Information Security" !
- Some conferences (and some courses) will be in PARIS, but in this case we take expenses in charge.
- All courses are taught in English, except the "French For Foreign" courses.
- Students will be invited at the IAWACS’10 (october 2010) that will be probably organized by ESIEA in his LAVAL Campus
- EICAR 2010 hosted by the the ESIEA INSTITUTE PARIS

-  This is the English version of our Master in French that has been ranked 2d at the 2009 SMBG Ranking (we were 3d in 2008) (IT / Computer Science and System Eng. Category)

NETWORK & INFORMATION SECURITY : AIMS

The training proposed within the framework of the Specialized Master in Network and Information Security (N&IS) enables future specialists to give precise answers to the very diverse security issues with which all components of digital information are currently confronted. The training specially emphasises the concept of security as a continuous process that grows in an environment based on new and emergent technologies, from coding to networking.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SM N&IS

- a Bachelor (or a Master) of Science in Computer Science
- a Bachelor (or a Master) of Engineering in Computer Science
- a Bachelor (or a Master) in Applied Mathematics, with a background in Computer Science
- a Bachelor of Sciences (or a Master) in Automatic Control with a background in Computer Science
- a Master of Sciences (Applied Sciences) in any field with a background in Computer Science

Here, a Bachelor of Science means a four-year university degree.

We also accept consultants in the field of Information Technologies (IT) (with a background in Computer science) and experienced engineers in IT.
Higher level students can also apply but admission into the Specialized Master N&IS is competitive and applicants will be considered only if they have a high academic standing from an accredited educational institution.

ADMISSION PROCESS FOR THE SM N&IS

Deadline for application
- 1st session : July 2010
- 2nd session : September 2010 (**)
- In June and July 2010 : each week there will be an "admission jury committe"
- (**) : be careful for the visa.

CALENDAR 2010-2011 FOR THE SM N&IS

- "Welcoming Week" for foreign students : October 5st 2010
- Beginning of courses : October 6th 2010
- IAWACS’09 organized by the ESIEA INSTITUTE in its LAVAL CAMPUS, free for ESIEA NI&S students
- EICAR 2010 hosted by the the ESIEA INSTITUTE PARIS
- Internship : from 4 to 6 months
- Defense Master Thesis : End of September 2011

Holidays
- From December 24th, 2010 to January 4th, 2011
- From February 25th, 2011 to February 29th, 2011

Rhythm
- Each module is 20h long (courses, laboratories and small projects)
- A “project module” is 50h long
